[1]  Graphene is located between a PMMA protection layer and a copper substrate. The copper substrate can be dissolved by using a solution, typically containing 100 g CuSO4, 500 ml water, and 500 ml HCl,  for 3 to 5 minutes, washed in distilled water, and then immersed in the solution for further dissolving. The procedure should be repeated till all copper substrate is dissolved.  The total dissolving time is approximately 30 minutes. The PMMA protected graphene can then be thoroughly washed in distilled water and transferred to any desired substrate. For example, the PMMA/graphene can be transferred to a silicon-oxide substrate after being washed (in distilled water) and then dried (to remove water). The graphene can be finally cleaned by using ethanol and distilled water after the PMMA layer is completely dissolved in an acetone solvent.

[2] The PVC substrate can be easily removed by placing the PMMA/graphene/PVC in distilled water since the adhesion between the graphene and the PVC substrate is weak. The PMMA protected graphene can then be transferred to any desired substrate.

[3] Graphene grown on nickel foam for potential applications in sensors, supercapacitors, and high-capacity electrode materials on lithium-ion batteries. The nickel foam substrate can be dissolved by using a solution, typically containing 100 g CuSO4, 500 ml water, and 500 ml HCl,  for 3 to 5 minutes, washed in distilled water, and then immersed in the solution for further dissolving. The procedure should be repeated till all nickel foam substrate is dissolved.  The total dissolving time is approximately 30 minutes.

[4] Graphene was first grown on a nickel-foam substrate, which was then removed. The graphene was finally transferred to a PVC substrate. The PVC substrate can be easily removed by placing the graphene/PVC in distilled water since the adhesion between the graphene and the PVC substrate is weak.

[5] Multi-layered graphene covered area < 3%.

[6] Multi-layered graphene covered area < 15%.
