Components: 50-60 wt% MWCNT (Diameter 8-15 nm, Length 10-50 um) > 33-43 wt% polymers < 3.5 wt% metals (Fe, Ni, La, Al, Si) < 0.5 wt% non-metals (Cl, S) < 3.0 wt% amorphous carbon Max. dispersibility: 68-106 mg/ml water 56-87 mg/ml ethanol 60-93 mg/ml DMF 62-96 mg/ml NMP The "dispersible carbon nanotubes" can be dispersed in the following solvents to form dispersions: Water, acetic acid, 1,4-butanediol, butanol, butylamine, chloroform, cyclohexanol, diethylene glycol, dimethyl acetamide, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, ethanol, ethylene diamine, ethylene glycol, formic acid, glycerin, isopropanol, methanol, methylene chloride, methylcyclohexanone, N-methylpyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol 400, propanol, propylene glycol, pyrrolidone, triethanolamine, vinylpyrrolidone, and mixtures thereof. Instructions for making dispersions: 1) Adding the "dispersible carbon nanotubes" to a solvent; 2) Treating the "dispersible carbon nanotubes"/solvent mixture for 5 to 20 minutes in a conventional ultrasound cleaner (or ultrasonic cleaning bath). Stability of as-synthesized dispersion: 1-10 days, decreasing with the CNT concentration in solvents.
